The Herald Times News (htrnews.com) recently wrote an article entitled "Sauerkraut: the new 'superfood'?"  In this article, Suzanne Weiss talks about rediscovering the benefits of fermented foods for health, wellness and healing.  "Sauerkraut is rich in Vitamin C and was valued by ancient sailors on long voyages because it helped prevent scurvy.  It has been touted as everything from an immune booster to a flu and cancer-fighting superfood."

Tinned sauerkraut    

 

The Laurent Company offers a range of tinned sauerkrauts based on a number of different recipes.


We take great care with these products, for which we have been famous for half a century. We use sauerkraut taken from fermentation vats, which preserves all of the organoleptic qualities of the product. The ingredients we use are carefully selected and cooking takes place under optimum sterile conditions.

Just like our cooked sauerkraut, we can produce a special sauerkraut to your own recipes and specifications.

At the heart of the Champagne region, we have perfected a "CHOUCROUTE AU CHAMPAGNE" (champagne flavoured sauerkraut), containing smoked bacon pieces and goose fat that is our company's flagship product.

Sauerkraut that is well cooked, crunch and slightly acidic is the ideal preserve for the housewife in a hurry !
